 Applications are invited by the NFR for the recruitment of Apprentice in its various units. Recruitment process is active from 16.09.2020 & total 4499 will be filled up from different posts. Various units for the recruitment are-

Katihar (KIR)& TDH workshop,Alipurduar (APDJ),Rangiya (RNY), Lumding (LMG)& S&T/workshop,Tinsukia (TSK), NewBongaigaon Workshop (NBQS) &EWS/BNGN and                           Dibrugarh Workshop(DBWS).

Important points to be remembered:-

• Candidate can submit application on-line on RRC/NFR's website-www.nfr.indianrailways.gov.in---- general information---- Railway recruitment cell Ghy.
•  Opening date & Time for application:- 16.08.2020(10 a.m) & Closing date & Time:- 15.09.2020 at 22.00 hrs.
•  RRC does not accept any responsibility for the candidates not being able to submit their application within the last day on account of aforesaid reasons or any other reason.
• A final merit list will be prepared unit wise, trade wise and community wise, equal to the number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate.  Shortlisted candidates, thus enlisted in respective units, will be called for document verification to the extent of 1.5 times of the notified vacancies .
•  No physical copy of the application is need to be sent to the RRC.
•  Go through the availability of training slots in different units & as per your expertise  before applying.
• Emphasize on Pre-requisites like- 10th certificate,ITI certificate, Passport size photo(colored in jpg format, having scanned copy o& your signature),Photo ID proof etc

FAQ about the Posts:-

1. How many vacancies are there in total?

Ans:- There are total 4499 vacancies.

2. What is the mode of selection?

Ans:- Selection will be on  the basis of merit & based on unit,trade & community wise,equal to the number of slots in the descending order of percentage of marks obtained by the candidate.

3. What is the period of Training?

Ans:- Period of Training is 1 year

4. What is the minimum qualification?

Ans- Minimum qualification to  apply for this job is-.10th class examination or its equivalent (under 10+2 examination system) with minimum 50% marks, in aggregate, from recognized Board and should  possess National Trade Certificate (ITI) issued by National Council for Vocational Training/State Council for Vocational Training.

5. How much is the application fee?

Ans:- It is  rs 100(only)  but no fee is required for  SC/ST/PWD/Women candidates.

6. May I apply in more than one unit?

Ans:- Candidate have to choose only one unit.

7. Will there be any hostel accommodation?

Ans:- No, hostel accommodation will not be provided during one year training period.
